Project Summary: Community Crag Clean-Up + Picnic

Overview:
The Community Crag Clean-Up + Picnic was a gym-wide event designed to give back to our outdoor climbing areas while celebrating community with a fun picnic. Together, members and staff volunteered their time to clean crags and raise awareness about caring for the environment.

Event Details:

• Date: July 13th, 2024

• Time: 9 AM - 12 PM

• Location: Pirates Cove

Participation:

• Open to all members and non-members who wanted to contribute to the community and the environment.

• Attendees were encouraged to bring friends and family to join in the effort.

• Limited reusable bags, trash pickers, and gloves were provided, but volunteers were encouraged to bring whatever they needed to help with the clean-up.

Activities:

• Community clean-up to collect trash and debris from the crag.

• Picnic gathering with refreshments and socializing after the clean-up.

Expected Outcomes:

• Enhanced community engagement and a shared commitment to caring for our outdoor spaces.

• Increased awareness of environmental stewardship among participants.
